Fursy Mogobe
Fursy Mugobe was burned in a road traffic accident in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. He had surgery both in the DRC and in Morocco.

He visited Children of Fire for the Drakensberg Outreach in South Africa in October 2009 and was a possible candidate for the Mt Cameroon climb.

He was quoted R48,000 for hand surgery with Prof John Fleming in 2010 which was not within his means at that time.

We maintained contact with Fursy and met him on various visits to the DRC.
At one stage he was working in a bank and then sadly seemed to step the wrong side of the law.
Fursy was the driver in a traffic accident in which someone died.
He then needed money for the trial, for bail and for the funeral for the deceased.
Allegedly he then borrowed money without agreement from the bank where he worked.
He was suspended because he could not pay the bill.
Fursy said that a colleague said that it involved fraud.
He wanted to return to study in South Africa.
That he will have to achieve by his own efforts.
We wish him well.
